Spectrum vocal ensemble - L'ensemble vocal Spectrum

The Spectrum Vocal Ensemble was formed in April 1998. They bring special life to the contemporary vocal arrangements that they perform. Their love of 20th century classics shows through in the spirit with which they capture the sense of the jazz bars, the swing era, the bebop generation and the ballads of the sixties.

After many years as an accompanist of Armonia, Melodia and Spectrum, director Marilyn Scott took over from founding director Bob Harvey in 2001. She has sung with choirs in Fredericton, Montreal and London, England. She is a professor of parasitology at McGill University and Interim Director of the McGill School of the Environment.

Spectrum's members come from a wide range of backgrounds and all walks of life. We have talented singers, and are accompanied by exceptional keyboard, bass and drums in most pieces we perform.

So what's our philosophy? Relax, smile and make beautiful music!
